CHARLIE Gjedde returns to the Newport Mike Manning Audio Wasps line-up on Saturday evening, when victory against visiting Edinburgh Monarchs will place them fourth in the British Premier League table - tapes up at 6.00pm.

The dashing Dane missed Friday's away 48-42 defeat against his former club Berwick Bandits because of unavailability, Ipswich Witches' Kevin Doolan top scoring with 12+1 as a guest replacement.

The Edinburgh match-up is the Wasps' final fixture of the 2011 season and if they do manage to move above Somerset Rebels, they must wait to discover the outcome of a trio of Workington Comets meetings if they are to remain fourth.

The Comets host Plymouth Devils in a double header on Saturday and entertain Edinburgh on Sunday afternoon.

Edinburgh were also in action on Friday night, losing 50-43 against Plymouth and they will include former Newport rider and ex-club asset Tim Webster, who was a regular with National League side Newport Drillerman Hornets in 2010.
