VOTING closed this afternoon in the Newport County AFC Trust Board Elections and the unconfirmed results have emerged this evening.
There were six candidates standing for five places on the Trust board and it appears that Kevin Ward, Colin Faulkner, Bob Herrin, Ryan Courtney and Rob Santwris have been successful.
Phil Ashcroft looks set to miss out on a place on the board.
Both Ward and Faulkner have revealed on Twitter tonight that they have been elected.
Former South Wales Argus editor Ward wrote: "Thanks to everyone who voted for me in the election for the @ncfctrust board. Humbled to have received so many votes. Hard work starts now."
He added: "Should also say congratulations to Colin, Bob, Ryan and Rob - also elected to the @ncfctrust board."

"Hard work starts now to move the club forward along with the other successful candidates along with current board members."

The results have yet to be confirmed by the club, who say an update on counting and declarations will be issued early this week.
