For the second time this season our very enthusiastic friends from Undy Rugby Academy turned up in the mud and snow for a quick training session with Rodney Parade hero, Mike Poole, before providing the Guard of Honour for Newport as they took to the pitch.
Mike had been training with the Dragons beforehand but still summond the energy and drive to run the youngsters from the Undy and Magor area through some skill sessions. Mike tells us he is only a few weeks away from fitness and we look forward to seeing him on the park with the boys. We hope we can encourage one of the other walking wounded black and ambers to help out with the kids.
The academy is a registered charity and is organised by some committed volunteers. FoNR recognise this committment and it is always a pleasure to host them in a visit to Rodney Parade.
