On July 27-29 Cardiff looks forward to the launch of a brand new outdoor live Music Festival.

The three-day weekend will welcome artists from all overWales featuring a mixed genre of live music across four stages. Up to 5,000 festival goers will head to the beautiful grounds at the Coedarhydyglyn Estate in Saint Nicholas just a few miles from the Welsh capital. The Welsh Fest Main Stage will give host to the likes of Kizzy Crawford, Sian Evans Kosheen, The Dirty Youth and Goldie Lookin Chain with their Legends Set.

Camping is available on the extensive site for weekend ticket holders. There are also day tickets, parking and excellent transport links, the site being only a 10-minute drive from Cardiff Central Train Station.

Welsh Fest appeals to families by providing an activity filled and safe area including fairground, inflatables, outdoor water slide and pool, interactive circus, arts and crafts; The list goes on.

There are also stalls, an art exhibition, plenty of food and drink. For those wearing their dancing shoes there’s the Dance Tent with over 4 DJs, featuring a foam party and non-stop summer tunes with the likes of Colin Dale and Promoters “Let There be House” Show as special guests.

A festival organiser said: “We wanted to create a reallyWelsh-themed festival of live music that would appeal to people of all ages.We have some of the best bands and musicians inWales playing atWelshFest.

“Also important to us is having upcoming local talent at the festival. There doesn’t seem to be much opportunity for live performing musicians inWales outside of the pubs and clubs. Providing a venue like this means
anyone with musical talent has the opportunity to play for a larger audience.

“Our focus is also on promoting Welsh Charities, we have a number of organisations attending Welsh Fest including Wales Air Ambulance, Tenovus Cancer Charity and Wales Kidney Foundation.

“In addition to this, unlike a lot of festivals we are not charging the Earth to get in. In fact, I personally don’t think you will find a better value music event in the UK.”
