NEWPORT County played valiantly against Manchester City at Rodney Parade yesterday, but lost the Fifth Round of the FA Cup, 1-4.

Following an impressive defeat of Middlebrough in their latest re-match, fans were hyped up for this next round, pouring into Rodney Parade and venues throughout Newport to watch the game.

Newport County's FA cup adventure is now over, but team manager Michael Flynn has praised his team.

Mr Flynn said: "I'm very proud of the team, they were outstanding.

"I have got a very good group of players and I can't speak highly enough of them."
