GWENT Police are appealing for help in identifying three men who they would like to speak to after an incident where money was alleged to have been given to builders who never returned to work on a house in Newport.

Three men called at an address on Brynglas Avenue on 25th May this year and offered to carry out some work on the guttering and roof for an agreed price. Money was handed over, they left to get materials but never returned to complete the work.

The men were travelling in a large white van with dark brown writing on the driver's side panel.

One man is white, approximately 5'8" tall, in his thirties, medium build with dark short hair which was swept back. He had a long face and local accent. He was wearing black jeans and a dark top.

A second man is white, approximately 5'8" tall, stocky build with a moustache and dark hair. He was aged approximately 40-45 years old. He was wearing a dark blue lightweight jacket.

The third man is white, aged about 20-25 yrs old, and approximately 5'8" tall. He had dark brown hair and was of medium build. He had a local accent with dark brown clothes.
