HAYES Melvyn Vincent "Wilf" Melvyn passed away on 6th December 2017 at Highfields Nursing Home aged 75 years. Husband of the late Anne; Father to Wayne, Wendy and Michael; Grandfather to 7 grandchildren; and Father-in-law to Jackie and Sharon; and Brother to Avril and Bernard. The Melvyn we all knew and loved sadly left us many years ago when vascular dementia cruelly took over his mind and body. His death is sad, but much relief is felt after watching him suffer for years. His Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday 19th December in Gwent Crematorium, Cwmbran at 10:00 am, and afterwards for a light buffet at Islwyn Indoor Bowls Club, Pontllanfraith. Flowers may be sent to Hope Funeral Home, Ty Fry Rd, Aberbargoed, CF81 9FN (tel: 01443 831192), if desired. Please, no cellophane.
