GREEN GYM NEWS: Following the recent visit of the Blaenau Gwent Green Gym to London, to receive their Green Hero Award from the Duke of Edinburgh, the group has taken the opportunity to mark the occasion with some of their partners in the community.
GREEN GYM TOMATO GROWING CHALLENGE: Clive Ward has sent the following news: The Green Gym has been busy growing and challenging communities to grow tomatoes as part of our "Tomato-growing Challenge", which we hope will culminate in a Tomato Party in the autumn, when we hope to taste the different types of tomato that have been grown alongside other salad items.
Representatives from the Green Gym have just returned from a couple of days in London, following the invitation to attend the prize-giving of its National Green Hero award, at the Royal Apartments in St James Palace, along with other award winners from across the UK.
AMATEUR BOXING NIGHT: The Rotary Clubs of Ebbw Vale, Abertillery and Blaina, together with the Heads of the Valley Boxing Club, are organising and evening of excellent amateur boxing, with guests, at Ebbw Vale Leisure Centre on April 20. Doors open at 6.30pm.
