BBC Wales Today anchor-man Jamie Owen had the audience in stitches with his talk on acronyms, business life and Wales in general, when he was guest speaker at the recent City of Newport Business Club. Jamie had kindly stepped in at the last minute for BBC Wales weatherman Derek Brockway due to a sudden family illness.
Janine Dance, City of Newport Business Club Chairman, said: "Jamie had everyone falling about laughing with his anecdotes and observations. It was a fantastic evening and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.”
The next City of Newport Business Club event will be a lunchtime event on March 17 with Rob Frowen, Newport City Council’s economic development manager, who will deliver an update on the city’s regeneration.
