Newport-based law firm HardingEvans has appointed Justin Chisnall as a solicitor to its clinical negligence department, growing the team to 18.

Justin, 43, who grew up in Cardiff, studied law at Liverpool John Moores University, before progressing onto the Legal Practice Course at Cardiff Law School.

He has almost 15 years of experience in the personal injuries and clinical negligence field, and joins HardingEvans after eight years at Lyons Davidson Solicitors in Bristol, where he worked as an associate solicitor and team leader.

In his new role, Justin will be working on a variety of high value and complex clinical negligence cases.

On his appointment, he said: “I have worked on many clinical negligence cases, including high value issued claims, cases with multiple defendants and fatal claims. I also have a lot of experience in litigation, and hope to use this knowledge to build on the success of HardingEvans’ clinical negligence team.

“After years of working for large corporate companies, it is nice to work somewhere like HardingEvans which has a large clinical negligence team. They still maintain a personal touch working extremely hard to get the best outcome for their clients. I am looking forward to building on my clinical negligence expertise in an environment where client interests are paramount.”

Ken Thomas, partner and head of clinical negligence at HardingEvans, said: “Our clinical negligence department has gone from strength to strength in recent years, and we’re very pleased to welcome Justin as a new addition to the team. His years of experience in the field will no doubt be an asset to the department, and we look forward to working with him.”

The HardingEvans clinical negligence team comes highly recommended in both the Chambers guide to the legal profession and the Legal 500. HardingEvans is one of the region’s most progressive law firms, offering a full range of legal services to businesses and individuals.
