Buyers looking for a bargain again flocked to the recent Paul Fosh Auctions sale where 47 lots out of the 72 offered were sold to the sum of £3,787,250.

Here are just four properties from across South Wales which were sold at the auction.

This traditional, mid-terraced cottage requiring full refurbishment was one of the cheapest residential lots to sell. It is situated in a popular residential location and has easy access to the nearby town of Treochry. It went for £24,000. Lot 2: 25 Windsor Street, Treherbert, Treorchy, CF42 5LH

This three-bedroom, detached house in Abergavenny will require modernisation but is situated in a sought after location in the Brecon Beacons National Park. It has the benefits of UPVC double glazing, oil fired central heating and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. This sold for £105,500. This set of three self-contained flats, within a block of four, is in an impressive period building which has benefited from some upgrading was also sold last week. Each of the flats benefit from UPVC double glazing and storage heating. The property is situated well for local amenities and the train station also. This property sold for £160,000. This stone and brick built, detached former chapel was a bit different to the majority of lots. The chapel, located in the town of Porth, will require upgrading but the new owners could invest in converting it into residential, unit for trades person, storage or for community use.
