Please say hello to Bailey, our darling little Dog of the Week.

Bailey is a two-year-old Jack Russell/Pug cross.

He’s a sweet little lap-sized fella - playful, affectionate and friendly, but Bailey has developed a habit of tail-chasing, which might indicate that he has not had enough stimulation and attention in the past. Tail chasing can be caused by boredom, so the staff and volunteers at the home are trying to keep him as busy as possible to keep his mind occupied.

Bailey had damaged his tail quite badly before he arrived as a stray, so when he was booked in for his ‘big boy’s op’ this week the vets recommended amputating his tail to prevent further damage and infection. He is feeling a little sorry for himself at the moment, but he’s a brave little dog and wants to put his past behind him now.

Bailey is looking forward to the next chapter in his life - a forever home!
