OUR Dog of the Week is 18-month-old Toby who has been passed from pillar to post for most of his life, having lived with his most recent elderly owners for only six weeks.
Toby needs a stable and loving home.
He is a very sweet little fella, full of energy, sociable, and he does the cutest ‘beg’! We think he is a bichon/shih tzu mix, and he looks like an adorable little teddy bear.
But he isn’t an accessory, and he wasn’t born to amuse, Toby is all dog! He loves walkies as much as an energetic springer, he can be as naughty as a terrier, as inquisitive as a collie, so please don’t offer Toby a home if you think your mum needs ‘companionship’ or if you ‘only want a little dog because you don’t have much time’.
This little fella deserves so much more than that.
Toby has shown beautiful manners around the staff and volunteers at Newport City Dogs Home, and he loves the company of his fellow residents too.
For more information, or if you’d like to meet him please contact Newport City Dogs Home call 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday.
Please note: the home is closed on Sundays.
