THE FIRST Welshman ever to have a number one hit is to appear in Gwent later this month.
Ricky Valance reached the coveted number one spot with Tell Laura I Love Her back in 1960.
Still touring, he can be seen at the Beaufort Ballroom, Ebbw Vale, on June 16.
The show starts at 7.30pm and the support act witll be local vocalist Harriet Whitehead.
