Trainspotters are finally getting their moment in the limelight, as the BBC has announced a show based on the hobby.
Trainspotting Live will be broadcast live over three nights on BBC Four, and will see experts discussing a range of locomotives.
Peter Snow will host the show from Didcot Heritage Railway Centre, while maths whizz Dr Hannah Fry will be on hand to explain the importance and enormity of the rail network.
Some Twitter fans seem to be looking forward to the series.
But plenty of others couldn’t help making jokes about it being a small screen version of the Trainspotting movie…
