It's fifty years since the Beatles came to Abergavenny and the Borough Theatre celebrates with two great events: On Friday 21 June 7.30pm John Lennon’s original band, The Quarrymen perform at the Borough Theatre.

The Quarrymen play the music which influenced the birth of the Beatles - the skiffle and rock’n’roll of the mid fifties – played in the style of the many similar groups who were laying the foundations of British rock music.

Each of John Lennon’s Original Quarrymen was a member of John Lennon’s first group, with three of them being founding members along with John.

Following the show, there will be a question and answer session with the band when the audience can find out more about when John Lennon gathered together his best mates to embark on the most famous journey in music history!

On Saturday 22 June 7.30pm The Cavern Beatles recreate the music of the Beatles fifty years on. Be transported back to 1963 and enjoy all the hits of the Fab Four in a completely live, two hour show. As close to the real thing as it’s possible to get!

Tickets are available from the Box Office 01873 850805 or online from boroughtheatreabergavenny.co.uk
