WELSH record producer Nick Brine has relocated his media company to South Wales and plans to help and encourage local musicians to get a step up in the music business.

Nick who is from Monmouth, started his career at the world famous Rockfield Studios in Wales more than 19 years ago. This gave him a foothold in the music industry and saw him go on to work with many renowned artists such as Oasis, The Stone Roses, The Verve, Teenage Fanclub, The Darkness, The Beta Band, Ash, Mark Owen, Stereophonics, Super Furry Animals and many more.

His career took him to many of the worlds greatest studios such as Abbey Road and Air in London, Avatar and the Hit Factory in New York (where he worked with Bruce Springsteen) and The Village and Paramount in Los Angeles.

Nick then started Leeders Farm media in Norfolk with friend Dan Hawkins fromThe Darkness. The studio fast became one of the country’s leading residential recording studios , winning a “best UK residential studio” award in 2009 after only two years in business. The studio and Nick played host to the likes of Arctic Monkeys, KT Tunstall, Nick Cave and Seasick Steve, among others.

Nick worked tirelessly to promote the local music scene and opened a newfacility to accommodate these artists, providing them with affordable recording space. He nowhopes to do the same for the South Wales music scene and to encourage local talent, will be running several promotions and competitions. There will also be access to events such as exposure to music, advice, management, PR and artist development and courses and workshops in production, mixing and the music business and helping local artists get exposure on the UKmusic scene. Mixing and mastering services are also available at discounted rates.
