Residents where the crash happened heard a loud bang and came out to see what had happened. They came out to find the moped under the Panda and the young man lying on the other side of the car. They covered him up with a blanket until the ambulance arrived.

The moped was taken away by police accident investigators after 1am on Sunday morning. If anyone has information about the incident they are asked to call Gwent Police on 101 or call the Collision Investigation Unit on 01633 642404.
