THE family and friends of three generations of a Cwmbran family who died in a fire say they want to thank the 800 people who attended their funeral, fundraisers and those who tried to save their loved ones, for their support.
Kim Buckley, 46, her daughter Kayleigh, 17, and baby granddaughter Kimberley, six months, died in a fire at their home in Tillsland, Coed Eva, in September.
Their funeral was held at St Gabriel’s Church, Old Cwmbran, last month.
The family issued a statement which said: “The family and friends of Kim Buckley, Kayleigh and baby Kimberley would like to thank all those who attended the funeral.
“There are simply no words to express our heartfelt thanks for the sympathy, help and community spirit that has been shown to us following our tragic loss. We have been very touched by the enormity of support expressed by so many people. We are forever truly grateful to everyone.
“There are just so many people to thank – from the heroic efforts of the neighbours, firefighters the support of the family liaison officers, and to all those fundraisers, also to Paul and Vicky at the Waterloo for everything they have done.
“Special thanks to Father Michael Phillips of St Gabriel’s Church and the Right Reverend Dominic Walker Bishop of Monmouth for such a beautiful service. Also thanks to Petersons funeral directors.”
