GWENT Police are appealing for information after two robberies happened in the Abertillery area.
A 68-year-old woman was walking along Gray Street on October 22 just before 8pm when a man stole her handbag and ran off in the direction of Powell Street.
The woman was unharmed but her bag contained a small amount of cash and Park Hamper vouchers.
The other incident happened on Powell Street on November 6 at around 10am.
A 75-year-old woman was walking when a man approached her and stole her shopping later.
The man ran off down the back of Powell Street where the trolley was later found.
A purse containing cash had been stolen but the woman was unharmed.
Gwent Police said local officers are increasing patrols in the area.
