Torfaen project helps groups grow food
6:10pm Wednesday 2nd January 2013 in News
A COMMUNITY initiative is encouraging and supporting groups to grow their own food in the rural wards of Torfaen.
The Community Foodie project, funded by the Torfaen Rural Development Programme (RDP), features many different types of sites, growing experience and people.
The most established garden can be visited at Llanyrafon Manor, in Cwmbran, where the local community group has used RDP funding and advice to install raised beds. It is hoped the project will expand, in particular in the north of the borough.
