THE driver of a James Bond sports car costing up to £190,000 came a cropper in Cwmbran on Saturday morning when his silver Aston Martin Vanquish crashed at the Croesyceiliog roundabout.

A spokeswoman for Gwent Police confirmed they attended the single vehicle incident at 10.35am where a male driver was not injured but his car sustained damage.

The six-litre V12 engined car, made famous in the James Bond film Die Another Day, can cost between £60,000 and £190,000 depending on age.

Onlookers took to Twitter within an hour of the crash. User @Jsnmb4 said: "Our thoughts are with the man who went through the barriers on the Croesy roundabout near Cwmbran in his Vanquish. He looked grumpy", while @iwlew12 tweeted: "Just witnessed someone crash their Aston Martin [on] a roundabout in Cwmbran #unluckymate".
