AMONGST trees in Torfaen was a celebration of how the area has been protected and preserved with a range of activities.
Traditional horse logging, tree carving, pony trekking and felling were just some enjoyed by visitors to Blaen Bran Community Woodland on Friday and Saturday.
Based two miles from Cwmbran town centre, the Llais y Goedwig Gathering 2013 event welcomed Dr Emyr Roberts Natural Resources Wales' chief executive, speakers with expertise in community woodlands and Diana Reynolds, environment and sustainable development change manager at the Welsh Government.
During the two days there was also workshops, stalls and wood fired pizza making.
