PEOPLE in Gwent can have their say on the future of the Eisteddfod.
A task force, set up to make recommendations on the modernisation of the National Eisteddfod and chaired by Roy Noble, has asked the public, organisations and stakeholders for suggestions on ways to improve the event.
The group is due to report its findings in September, following this year’s Eisteddfod.
Leighton Andrews, the minister with responsibility for the Welsh language, said there is room to broaden its appeal even further and to modernise some aspects.
Mr Andrews said: “I would encourage anybody with an interest in the festival to get in touch – whether you’ve never been to the Eisteddfod and can tell us why, or if you’re a regular to the Maes and have ideas about further improvements.”
