POP star Suggs, TV star and former footballer Jamie Redknapp, and his wife, Louise, are the latest in a long line of celebrities to join the Raise Your Hands For Luca campaign.

They have joined the likes of footballer Diego Maradona, Leigh Halfpenny and other Wales rugby stars, Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel, and Kiss frontman Gene Simmons in wishing the Newport four-year-old well in his battle to overcome severe disabilities caused after he was struck down by meningococcal septicaemia in January last year, after he contracted meningitis.

The celebrities posed for photographers with the words For Luca written on their hands.

The campaign has helped raise the profile of an effort by Luca’s parents, Mo Syed and Sian Williams, which has raised more than £200,000.

The aim is to raise enough money to provide Luca with prosthetic legs throughout his life. More than 22,000 people have ‘liked’ Luca’s Facebook page.
