A NEWPORT schoolgirl who has raised funds in aid of Rainbow Child Foundation, is in with a chance to represent South Wales in the International Beauty Pageant, taking place in Disneyland, Paris, this October.

Rebecca Skinner, 11, has been selected to compete in the Welsh finals being held at Novotel, Cardiff, on July 14.

If Rebecca is successful in the heats, she will then go ahead and compete against girls aged five years and up, from all around the world at the final in the famous park.

The pageant focuses on natural beauty and talent, and looks for kind hearted children who are willing to raise funds for the charity that help underprivileged children around the world.

Currently receiving donations from friends, family and neighbours, Rebecca is holding raffles and car boot sales and any event that can raise money for the charity .

For the most money raised in each age group who go to Disneyland, ten per cent of the winnings then go to their chosen charity.

Rebecca’s charity is Bonnie Babies, which is something close to her heart since she discovered they helped babies born prematurely, like her little brother.

Rebecca is currently supporting seven different charities, including Rainbow Child Foundation.
