South Wales Argus: Crash blocks lane of M4 in Newport Crash blocks lane of M4 in Newport

ONE lane is blocked and slow traffic reported due to an accident on the M4 between J27 at Highcross and J28 at Tredegar Park.

Two vehicles were involved on the westbound side and debris on the road is causing congestion to J26 Malpas Road. Emergency services are en-route.

There is already variable speed limits enforced by speed cameras becase the road is incapable of performing to motorway standards ie supporting volume traffic and fast flowing (up to 70mph) safely. The road is not fit for purpose, get the relief road built.
