NHS Wales chief David Sissling will move to a new role at the end of March, it has been announced.
Mr Sissling is the Chief Executive of NHS Wales and the Director General of Health and Social Services.
He joined the Welsh Government in May 2011 after a long career in the NHS. He’ll be taking up a new job in the East Midlands, closer to his family home.
He said: “I am very proud of what we’ve achieved in Wales over the last three years with much-needed service change and an increasing focus on the safety and quality of care we provide to patients.”
