Andy Howells chats to Greg B from Cardiff based rockers Hark! A Shark!

Who are you and where do you originate from?

We are Hark! A Shark! and we hail from Newport and Cardiff! Natalie's voice will serenade you while Greg B provides the guitars, Greg T brings

the bass, and finally Andy holds it all up with the drums!

How long have you been together as a band?

We've been together in various forms since April 2010... This Shark is nearly 4 years old! We've done lots in our 4 years, we've recorded 3 EP's,

and are preparing our 4th EP for release this year!

How would you describe your style of music?

Pop-punk would be the best description for our music. We've always had a searing pace, shouty and catchy guitars alongside thumping drums

and bass, but Nat's vocals provide plenty of hooks that will have our songs floating around in your head for weeks to come!

What's your best live experience so far?

We've played plenty of shows, but a standout show has to be our EP release show in July 2012! This was our first proper release show for a

CD that we had put together ourselves! Watching so many people sing back our songs is an amazing feeling, and we still feel humble to this

day that so many people come out to our shows. Without people coming out to shows, the local music scene would be in such a state.

Tell us about your new release!

We're going to be releasing our brand new EP early in 2014, we've just finished recording it at One Louder Studios with Phil Smith,

and its safe to say, we're so excited to share these awesome new tracks with everyone!

Where can we catch you live? (Feel free to let us know about any confirmed gigs or other appearances)

We play regularly around Cardiff and Newport, so keep your eye out for us on the web, and in shop windows!

Okay where can we find out more about the band?

You can find us on facebook.com/harkashark, as well as twitter @harkashark, and you can listen to our last EP "908 Means Get Me Outta There!"

for free on Spotify, and through harkashark.bandcamp.com!
