NEWPORT Gwent Dragons prop Phil Price is raising money and awareness for the Motor Neurone Disease Association after witnessing the effects of the disease on his mother.

Mr Price’s mum was diagnosed with MND four years ago.

Now he and his brothers are giving something back to those who have helped their family.

The MDNA, which is the only charity in the United Kingdom for sufferers, supports those living with the illness which is currently non-treatable and terminal. Mr Price said: “Over the last four years, the MDNA have done a lot in terms of supporting us and making my mother’s life at home the best possible.

“We are just trying to raise as much awareness as possible.”

His brothers run the London Marathon in April to raise funds.
