Two cars crash on SDR in Newport

First published in News

TAILBACKS are reported on the Southern Distributor Road in Newport after a crash between two cars on the bridge over the Usk at just before 5pm today.

One reader described seeing a BMW which was unscathed in the accident, but a black car behind which looked to be a “write off”.

Police are still in attendance at the scene.

No-one involved suffered life threatening injuries, but police said one driver may have whiplash.

There are large tailbacks in the area, say eyewitnesses.
