PUPILS at Abercarn Primary School took part in a mass world record attempt spanning four countries on Monday.
The 79 children aged four to seven were filmed attempting to set a new record for the largest number of people making play-dough models at the same time.
The Abercarn children made daffodils and were joined by more than 200 other schools from around the UK, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, with the footage being sent off to be adjudicated by Guinness World Records.
The event was organised by teacher and international speaker Shonette Bason-Wood.
The children warmed up for the challenge by exercising to her popular ‘Dough Disco’ children’s video, an activity designed to help children develop manual dexterity and motor skills.
Staff are now waiting to hear if the record was set.
