A TORFAEN grant scheme is helping develop the artistic skills of local young people.
Torfaen Young People’s Music and Arts Trust provides small grants to residents aged 25 and under to cover costs such as training courses and development opportunities.
Pontypool dancer Katie White, who received a grant in the last application round to help her attend both the National Youth Dance Wales and Bird College London summer schools, said: “Even though I am only 17, I feel privileged to have been given so many great opportunities to dance and learn, and grow as a person.
“It’s been with the help of the Torfaen Young People’s Music and Arts Trust that I have been able to achieve so much experience.
The next deadline for applications is April 30 and applications can be submitted via torfaen.gov.uk or hard copies are available.
Anyone interested in applying for grant support or donating should contact 01633 628968 or arts.development@torfaen.gov.uk
