A CITY centre recruitment agency have collected more than 150 Easter eggs with the help of its clients to give to charity.

Brook Street Recruitment, based on Commercial Street, Newport, still have more eggs to collect before they are delivered to the Royal Gwent Hospital's children's ward and the Newport-based Sparkle Appeal charity, which support youngsters with a disability or developmental difficulty living in Newport, south Monmouthshire and south Torfaen and their families at the Serennu Children’s Centre.

Gina Gaunt and colleagues Ruth Wood, Nichola Turner, Natalie Poynton, Sara Gibby and Alexandra McCue set about asking their clients to donate Easter eggs for donation and said they were "absolutely blown away" by the generosity of their clients, including ALUK, Newport City Homes, Celtic Recycling, the Dragons of Newport, Dig It Landscapes, South West Training, John Liscombe's Ltd and Bisley, who so far have supplied more than 150 eggs.

Mrs Gaunt said: "We are delighted that there is such kindness amongst our Newport clients and can not thank them enough for their extreme generosity. Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping us to spread a little joy."

The team will distribute the eggs on Tuesday, April 15.
