UPDATE: Bull is captured after being on the loose near Bettws

A LARGE bull which ws on the loose in the lane between Bettws and Cwmbran has been captured and taken back to its farm near Rogerstone, police say.

A Gwent Police spokesman said they were called about the bull in the road at 5.15pm. The bull was found near a farm at the edge of Bettws, he said. Four police units were called to the scene.

The bull had escaped from a farm near Rogerstone. A firearms team was at the site as a precaution. The incident is now over.
