Navdeep Rehill, 34, is a shopkeeper in Risca and has written a new book on 10 of the most influential British football managers.

If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?

Probably Sir Alex Ferguson, he is my favourite of the football managers.

What is your biggest fear?

Flying – I don’t like to be up in the skies for too long.

Do you have any superstitions?

I don’t like going under ladders because of bad luck.

If you could listen to only one song for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Wonderwall, by Oasis – it’s such an uplifting song.

What is the most expensive thing you’ve bought, not including property?

Probably the shop here in Risca. But it has been worth it.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

You can’t achieve anything without the risk of failure – you need to take the risks.

What is your indulgence?

Listening to dramas on Radio 4 – all the British comedies.

What item could you not live without?

Cheese sandwiches – they’re my favourite.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Not having to wear glasses – I don’t like wearing them.

Where are you next going on holiday?

Probably Blackpool or Brighton. I’m a big fan of the seaside.
