A MALE was rescued from the river in Chepstow on Friday evening after two fire crews were called to the scene at 7.55pm.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the person had fallen down the side of the river near Welsh Street, where he was rescued using a lifeboat from SARA (Severn Area Rescue Association).
Crews from Chepstow and Malpas attended the rescue operation.
