A Shirenewton based company, J and W Fabrications, have created a bike trailer especially for the team which can hold 16 bikes, which they donated to the choir on Monday evening.

Lyndon Gauntlett, member of the choir, said: “We hope to raise a few thousand from the bike ride. Last year’s ride raised around £6,000 for the Victims of Chernobyl Children’s Trust.

“It’s great that J and W have supplied us with the bike trailer., it cost a few thousand and three months or so to make it.The majority of riders will be riding the three days and a few riders will meet them in Brecon and ride along the Taff Trail cutting through Newport and into Caldicot”

The choir have already held an eight hour bike ride and will host a charity golf day in September.
