A FIRE broke out in electrical ducting at Tata Steel works in Llanwern last night.
Fire fighters from Maindee and Duffryn were called at 11.17pm to a fire involving ducting and electrical components inside the factory, using one carbon dioxide extinguisher, said a spokesman for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
They also checked the area with a thermal imaging camera before leaving the situation in the hands of the site fire fighting team at 11.56pm.
The spokesman said it was not a big fire.
