THE Comedy Port Festival returns to the Riverfront Theatre in Newport this week (October 6-11) with the likes of Shappi Khorsandi and Jason Manford performing.

Tonight (Monday) there will be a screening of Stephen Fry's new book, More Fool Me, from 7.30pm in the Studio area; tomorrow (Tuesday) Newport's Tin Shed Theatre company brings you A Play, A Pie and A Pint by Daughters of Albion at the Project Space on Commercial Street from 7.30pm; on Wednesday actors Ian Ashpitel and Jonty Stephens bring to life Eric and Little Ern at the Riverfront from 7.30pm; Shappi Khorsandi is performing on Thursday evening from 8pm; while on Friday the monthly performance sessions take over the foyer with boutique stalls and open mic performances, while at 7.45pm Crashmat Collective will present their Façade show which involves acrobatics and a three-course meal.

On Saturday there will be Comedy 4 Kids, suitable for ages 6 and over from 2pm, while at 8pm Jason Manford will perform his First World Problems show.

Tuesday's Tin Shed Theatre performance will be accompanied by beers and wines from Le Pub.

A festival passport ticket, granting you access to every show costs £29.50 (excluding Façade and Jason Manford).
