FALKLANDS war hero Simon Weston gave an inspirational talk at a secondary school in Torfaen.
The former Welsh Guard suffered 46 per cent burns on board the Sir Galahad which was destroyed in Bluff Cove on the Falkland Islands in 1982.
Since then his charitable work has earned him an OBE.
Mr Weston, 53, spoke to Year 11 pupils at Croesyceiliog School on October 21.
There was also a presentation giving details of how parents could support their children through their GCSEs.
Meanwhile the head of year 11 talked about the mentoring pupils are receiving at school, revision sessions and exam arrangements.
