Crash closes road in Caerleon
UPDATE: The vehicles have now been cleared and the road has been re-opened.
A CRASH has closed one of the key roads through Caerleon.
Gwent Police have confirmed that they were called to a road traffic collision between a van and a car on Caerleon Road between The Ship Inn pub in Caerleon and the St Julians Inn at 1.25pm.
There were three people in the van, one driver and two passengers.
One of the passengers has been taken to The Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport.
The car had one driver who was not injured.
Caerleon Road remains closed.
