Clydach Wasps sharp shooter James Hapgood was in stunning form, scoring all five goals in their comfortable home win over Usk Town in the quarter-finals of the A Jones and Co (Usk) Limited Langdon Cup.

Usk simply couldn't put the shackles on Hapgood, who gave Wasps a two-goal interval lead and carried on with his destructive work after the break.

The tie was switched to Abergavenny's Bailey Park, allowing the Blues senior side to play their much-postponed John Payne Barber Gwent Amateur Cup tie. But the change of ground resulted in Govilon B team's clash with Fairfield United being called off, although a lot of effort, including numerous telephone calls, was made to try to find a ground.

James Powell gave Govilon a half-time lead. Alan Scammell got a goal for the Blues but Dean Morgan made sure of Govilon's place in the last four with two goals, including a penalty.

It was the second time this season that Sudbrook had beaten the Kingfishers in the league. James Robertson and Jason Brimble grabbed the goals for the cricketers to seal the second place spot. Rogiet-Tippling never really got going in Caldicot as Thornwell Red and White inflicted a 3-1 scoreline on them. Ziggy Niblett netted a wonder goal come cross for Tippling.
