THE Post Office is inviting customers to give their comments on its proposal to move Abertillery Post Office from its current location at Anvil Court, Church Street, to an established retailer on Division Street.
The move is part of a major modernisation programme across the Post Office network, designed to make it easier for customers to do business, through longer opening hours and modern, open-plan environments.
Post Office regional network manager for Wales Adrian Wales said: “I am delighted to announce news of an important investment in our service in Abertillery. We know how important the Post Office service is to the community and we feel sure customers will welcome the longer opening hours and modern open-plan format. This move will help secure Post Office services in the town for the future.”
If it goes ahead, the new retailer will offer customers an extra 52 hours a week in which to access Post Office products and services.
The consultation will close on January 30 2015.
