GWENT Police has arrested two youths in connection with an incident at Greenmeadow Community Farm, Cwmbran which left Cheeky the donkey badly injured.
The youths, two male 17 year-olds from the Cwmbran area, have been bailed pending phone and forensic examinations.
Cheeky received 16 puncture wounds to both hind legs, the abdomen and neck in the incident, which happened between November 28 and 8am on November 29. She continues to recover and is back at Greenmeadow Farm.
Officers continue to appeal for information via 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting log 136 29/11/14.
