MAESYCWMMER actor Craig Roberts brought the sparkle of the silver screen to a Ty Hafan audience when he stopped by to join in with its annual Christmas pantomime recently.
The film and television star, perhaps best known among youngsters for his role in hit children’s show The Story Of Tracy Beaker, dropped by to watch a Disney-themed pantomime as part of the Sully hospice’s Precious Moments campaign.
Since landing a breakthrough title role in the 2010 feature film Submarine, the actor has gone on to appear in teen drama Skins, BBC’s Casualty and Hollywood films 22 Jump Street with Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, Bad Neighbours with Zac Efron and Jason Segel, and Richard Ayoade’s The Double with Jessie Eisenberg and Mia Wasikowska.
Roberts said: “The work that Ty Hafan does is incredibly important. The staff and volunteers working at the children’s hospice do the most remarkable job to ensure that children and their families can celebrate Christmas with the care and the support that they need, and I am honoured to be here.”
Craig has most recently finished work on his directorial debut Just Jim starring Emile Hirsch, which will be released in September 2015.
Meanwhile Ty Hafan wants people to talk about their own ‘precious moments’.
