NEWPORT Cathedral will be commemorating Holocaust Memorial Day on Tuesday, January 27 with a memorial service.
Tuesday will mark the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp as well as the 20th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica in Bosnia.
The Lord Lieutenant of Gwent, the Mayor of Newport and the Leader of Newport City Council will all attend the service at the cathedral on Stow Hill at 11am.
Pupils from local schools will also be in the congregation and music will be provided by the Bassaleg Comprehensive School Choir and the Gwent Youth Brass Ensemble.
