DOING anything special this St David's Day?
Perhaps you are throwing a party to celebrate your patriotism, or dressing up, enjoying some fine Welsh Food and singing a song or two.
The day celebrates the patron saint of Wales, Saint David, or Dewi Sant in Welsh, who travelled through South Wales and the west of England in the sixth century, founding religious centres along the way.
Tradition has it that he died on the first day of March in 589AD, leading to the selection of this date as Wales’s national day.
