... and other such vomit-inducing pledges of love can be found in newspapers and on websites across the land today.
Because it's February 14 - Valentine's Day, the most ridiculous day of the year.
Supermarkets across the country last night were filled with a mixture of giggling schoolgirls and glum-looking husbands/boyfriends buying cards and/or flowers and/or chocolates for their loved ones.
Why? Why today more than any other day of the year?
February 14 is a ludicrous commercial exercise that seems to brainwash most of the nation.
It is, of course, a load of old nonsense and yet so many people fall for it.
I can just about understand the attraction for those of school age. But the rest of us? Get a life.
