The Chepstow Group of Gwent Wildlife Trust held a brief AGM at its latest meeting.
Sadly the chairman had to inform members of the sudden death of Joan Shepstone.
Joan had been a stalwart supporter of the trust and a conscientious treasurer of the Chepstow group for many years. Everyone agreed she will be much missed.
The talk which followed the AGM was a wonderful escape from chilly Chepstow.
Local member Mike Price gave an account of the National Parks of Kenya.
He showed some stunning photographs of wildlife taken at remarkably close quarters.
The last evening talk of the season will be given by the trust's conservation officer, Gemma Bode. She will speak to members and guests about local grasslands, particularly those on the trust reserves.
She will also be touching on other current work of the trust.
This will be held on Thursday, March 1, at the Chepstow Leisure Centre at 8pm.Everyone is welcome.Admission is £1 and includes light refreshments.
